When Atu went to his first vogue ball, he met people that understood him in a way he had never been understood before. Those people are now his chosen whānau. James Mustapic heads to the Big Gay Out in an effort to find a family of his own.

3. Episode 3

The first time Kemuma saw the true version of himself was when he put on a pair of cargo shorts. James Mustapic discovers how to find yourself through clothes, while simultaneously making his friend Liv look as straight as possible.

4. Episode 4

When Jadwiga told her doctor that she wanted to transition, the first thing the doctor said was “DON’T MILK YOURSELF!”. We go inside James Mustapic’s literal closet to work out how queer people can get the quality healthcare they need.

5. Episode 5

Society tells us that we need to settle down, get married and have kids. Who made those rules? Some boring straight f**k probably. The good news is queer people are pretty good at breaking those rules and there’s a lot we can all learn from that.
